Thanks to @memy-modblog for this great response and sorry for the delay ;)

@memy-modblog, @kamithepony and I are sending our ponies.. and gembug on a trip through Equestria. You can find their previous travel logs here. Feel free to ask Memy or Lukida any questions about it ;)

Anonymous asked: Now by "experimental stuff" are you describing otp relationships?

No, I was refering to my drawing technique. Shading, brushes, other stuff…

My Dashie x Spitfire drawing was a gift art I promised someone. I actually don’t care much about shipping canon characters, if it’s cute or fits well I might draw a picture or two but I don’t consider them headcanon.

What does it take to become a ‘good’ artist?

dshou:

But first, what makes an artist?

Some may answer, the quality of one’s artistic skills.

To some, the quantity or consistency of the artist to continue their line of work.

Others, the ability of the artist to contribute and/or communicate with the people around them.

All of the above I would consider, useful, of course it is to my opinion. Yet similarly, none is necessary.

An artist can live in the shadows, their skills untrained, and even then only create works at the times of a rare blue moon. Still, they can consider themselves an artist.

Their works may be modest, skill itself perhaps subjective in the world of creativity, and the process or creation may signify a deeper meaning no matter how personal it matters.

What would then constitute a ‘good’ artist, If an artist can take whatever path they wish to?

Just leave it to your own decision basically.

Graeystone: Yes, Derpy is that old. Because Changelings are shapeshifters (physical + magical) their cells constantly rejuvenate and the Healing Puddle does slow down the aging process making them able to live for at least 2000 years before their cells can no longer rejuvenate. At that point the cellular rejuvenation becomes like any other normal life form and changeling then has a normal lifespan.

Comic update ;)

I finally finished her (after more than a half year -.-)
Also sorry for the bad image quality, I neither have a good camera nor good lighting (“no sun”)…

She’s made of polymer clay and painted with acrylic colors. Her horn and wings are removable. She’s about 22cm high.

You can find some more pictures here ;)
